Over many years of investigating historical accuracy, particularly European storytelling about the world, we at EMPATH have come to recognize that much of what humanity has been taught for over a thousand years about world history and the evolution of civilization has been, at best, misleading and, at worst, outright false. We also understand that every written word and every spoken gesture within this dominant narrative carries layers of meaning, even within its inaccuracies, that reflect our shared human experience. At EMPATH, we are committed to correcting these distortions and false historical narratives through creative storytelling. These inaccuracies have long prevented diverse communities from telling their own stories and sharing their thoughts and emotions. Our work aims to bridge these gaps, allowing us to better communicate our deepest desires, hopes, fears, and dreams, and ultimately live together in diverse global communities with peace and mutual respect.
